Account Linking

Cross–play lets you play with friends on Xbox, Steam, or Windows PC—no extra setup. Cross–progression moves your gear and progress between platforms, but you must link your accounts first.

What Doesn’t Carry Over?

While progression carries through, there are a few things that don’t carry over across platforms:

• Belfry Bucks: Towerborne’s in-game currency.  Currency purchased on either platform will all go to one wallet. If you purchase 100 Belfry Bucks while on Xbox and 100 Belfry Bucks while you’re in Steam, you’ll have 200 Belfry Bucks total.
• Duplicate items: If you own the same cosmetic, emote, or Umbra skin on multiple platforms, you won’t get duplicates. When linked, items will merge and you’ll keep one version on your primary account.
• Unlinking: Unlinking accounts doesn’t delete your progress on your Primary Account. Your primary account keeps everything you’ve earned, but your progress will no longer sync across platforms.  If you ever unlink a platform account, only your Primary Stoic Account keeps its progress. The unlinked profile starts fresh, so you can’t duplicate or sell progress on multiple accounts. You can still play each account separately, and relink anytime to sync again. Identifying Your Primary Account

Choosing a primary account is permanent unless you contact Player Support; if you later unlink, only this Primary Stoic Account retains its progress.

When linking your accounts for cross-play and cross-progression, you need to identify which one of your accounts is your primary account.  Once you link, your primary account data will overwrite any progress on the non-primary account. So make sure you choose the right one!

• Your primary account is the one with the most playtime, items, and overall progress. All your progress and inventory from this account becomes your main profile across platforms.
• Your primary account will overwrite progress on other linked accounts.
• Cosmetics, Emotes, Stickers, Weapon, Gear, and Umbra from your primary account will merge across accounts (no duplicates).

You only need to link accounts once—after that, your progress and play will be seamless across platforms via your primary account.

Account Linking Instructions

Follow these steps to link your accounts.

Step 1: Identify primary account

Determine which of your accounts is primary (the one with all your progress) and which accounts are not. You only need to do this once—just make sure you’re clear on which account is which! Make sure you can access both accounts.

Once you’ve identified your primary account, from the Main Menu, go to Settings -> Gameplay -> Link Cross Platform and select the option to Keep as Primary Account.

Step 2: Retrieve link code

A code will appear—copy it somewhere safe. ⚠️ Your link code will expire in 15 minutes.

Step 3: Locate non-primary account link settings

Log into a non-primary account, then from the Main Menu, go to: Settings → Gameplay → Link Cross Platform … and select Link to Other Account

Step 4: Input link code

When prompted, enter the code you copied earlier from your primary account. If you unlink later – only your Primary Stoic Account keeps its progress and items; the unlinked account resets to a blank slate.

Congrats! Your accounts are linked. Anything conflicting from your secondary account will be overwritten by your primary account’s progress. Shared items like emotes or cosmetics will merge.

You only need to do this once per non-primary-to-primary account link — after that, everything syncs automatically. No matter where you log in next, your progress and inventory will travel with you.
