Towerborne FAQ
Yes! Your Towerborne Game Preview and Early Access will automatically transition to the Standard Edition of Towerborne’s premium full launch.
You’ll keep all the exclusive Founders Pack rewards, curio unlocks, and premium store items.
You’ll also receive a currency called Stepstones based on the value of the Belfry Bucks included in your packs or purchased during early access. Redeem Stepstones in-game for Chests of Rare Aspects, Chests of Forging Material, Chests of Spirit Dust or a Big Bag of Writs.
As Towerborne transitions from a live-service model to a premium experience, the recurring monthly bonuses included in Founders Packs will end. All core rewards and exclusive items from the packs and previously granted monthly bonuses remain yours, ensuring value without ongoing monetization.
- Progression Reset for a Fresh Start
Character progression from early access is continued and you can start to play through the all-new campaign storyline with the Ace you’ve built in early access. But for the best experience we encourage players to start a fresh new save game to fully experience everything from the beginning. - Your Exclusive Items Stay Yours:
Your gear including Founders Pack cosmetics and rewards will remain exclusive and in your inventory after the full game launch. These items will now be exclusive forever as a thank-you for supporting us during Early Access. Note all purchased Belfry Bucks will transition into Stepstones on February 26, 2026.
The premium cosmetic store and Belfry Bucks will be retired on February 26, 2026. We encourage players to spend their remaining Belfry Buck balances before then. When the full game launches, all items in the premium cosmetic store and many, many more will be moved to the in-game Writs Shop. We are replacing the use of the premium currency of Belfry Bucks with the sweat currency of Writs. Instead of directly converting Belfry Bucks balances to Writs balances, Founders will receive an exclusive transfer currency called Stepstones. Accounts will automatically receive one Stepstone for every 500 Belfry Bucks acquired during Early Access.
The purpose of Stepstones is to give Founders a choice for how they want to buff their inventories in the new campaign. Players can choose to spend Stepstones on Chests of Rare Aspects, Chests of Forging Materials, Chests of Spirit Dust or a Big Bag of Writs to unlock even more awesome cosmetics for their Ace.
After listening to our community during Early Access and Game Preview, we’ve moved away from a Free-to-Play model to deliver the complete, premium experience players asked for. This means:
- One-Time Purchase: Towerborne will launch a Standard and Deluxe Edition, offering all core content upfront.
- No Live Service Grind: We’ve removed ongoing monetization mechanics and focused on a rich, story-driven campaign plus re-playable co-op content.
After listening to our community during Early Access and Game Preview, we learned players wanted a complete, polished experience without ongoing monetization mechanics. Moving to a premium model lets us deliver the full game upfront—no live-service grind, no pay-to-win systems—just the best version of Towerborne.
Founders Packs were created as a special way for early supporters to help shape Towerborne during its development. With the full game launch, these packs will no longer be available for purchase. Thank you to everyone who joined us on this journey—your feedback helped make Towerborne what it is today!
